In the dynamic context of the ‘Leadership is for EveryOne’ project, a networking event unfolded as TFL collaborated with two job shadowers from Italy. The session, held in Tirana on June 12, 2023, attracted the active participation of 17 youth workers/leaders and young individuals from Albania.
The event showcased a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and possibilities within the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme in the field of youth, European Solidarity Corps, DiscoverEU, Youth Exchanges, Erasmus Mundus, and opportunities existing within the funding stream: Mobility opportunities, youth exchanges, volunteering, job shadowing, etc. Additionally, we discussed different types of education, including formal, non-formal, and informal, as well as the European Values and Priorities, the EU pillar for youth, the 11 youth goals, and the objectives and activities involved in youth participation projects. The team organized these info sessions with groups of young people who expressed their keen interest in participating.
The sessions served as platforms to share insights on where and how to apply for these opportunities, which are specifically designed to enhance knowledge, capacity, and personal growth. Moreover, they offered a unique chance for attendees to connect and exchange experiences with their peers throughout Europe.
Ice-breaker activities were organized at the beginning of each session, enabling participants to learn about their fellow group members in an interactive way. PowerPoint presentations, talks, open space discussions, reflection exercises, and other participatory activities were used to deliver the content effectively.
