- Barriers faced by persons with disabilities, including insufficient access to public institutions and limited access to essential services. The need for stronger support systems and infrastructure improvements was highlighted.
- The daily struggle with financial difficulties and unemployment, which hinders quality living and civic involvement. There is an urgent need for initiatives to create new and suitable jobs and support initiatives to improve economic conditions in the area.
- The need to increase quality and comprehensive services, in accordance with the needs of all citizens, especially those from more vulnerable groups such as people with disability.
- The need to create advisory committees that include representatives from different community groups and advocate at the central level, ensuring that policies reflect the needs of all citizens.
On the other hand, the present decision-makers emphasized that, of course, the work to improve the weaknesses and strengthen local policies is continuing, and especially the vulnerable target groups are a priority of the Municipality, but there is a need to increase financial capacities. Increasing civic participation was also identified as a key area for improvement. Encouraging community members to get involved in local governance through public consultations, town hall meetings and online platforms for those who cannot physically participate can strengthen the community’s role in decision-making processes.
